RENOVATIONS MARBELLA
You probably know some of these stories: builders who stop showing up, completion deadlines that keep getting pushed back, defects that never get fixed, design changes forced by unexpected issues during construction, materials that fail to arrive, or extra costs that significantly increase the original budget.
No renovation runs like Swiss clockwork — mine don’t either. A renovation is a complex handcrafted process involving workers from different trades, each usually focused on their own tasks. Good project management means planning, coordinating, and supervising effectively to achieve the quality, timing, and budget goals agreed upon with the client. Without proper planning and management, a renovation will undoubtedly become lengthy and expensive. And budgets are never unlimited; quite the opposite — for most of us, they are the main constraint.

Renovations in Marbella also come with their own particular challenges.
1. High foreign demand drives up labour and material costs.
2. High standards of design and finishes make it difficult to find skilled and motivated professionals.
3. Sophisticated marketing and commission-based practices. Many clients are drawn in by advertising campaigns, both direct and indirect. Genuine word-of-mouth recommendations are rare; true reputation is earned project by project, renovation by renovation.
4. A lack of transparency in the sector makes it difficult for clients to compare professionals and make informed decisions.
If you’re thinking about renovating your home, find a good professional. Take my advice. It could be someone else, or it could be us — but make sure you choose a true professional.
