Specialist in bathroom design and renovation
Here you can see some of my bathroom renovation projects, the ones I consider my best work. I have been working in bathroom design and renovation for 25 years; it was the first area I specialised in.
To be transparent, some of these images are photographs and others are renders. Some designs are not ultimately built exactly as I originally planned, because it’s not my bathroom, it’s the client’s. Still, I like to showcase the best designs on my website, whether they are built realities or virtual concepts.

As with every other living space, bathroom design and renovation evolve alongside changes in the way we live: replacing the bathtub with a walk-in shower, removing the bidet (whose function can now be integrated into the toilet in various ways), installing wall-mounted concealed cistern toilets, or creating more storage space.
In many of my designs, I incorporate a practical shower niche and a storage area hidden behind a partition wall at the foot of the shower tray. In general, simply using the space left by the old bathtub to install a shower is rarely the best solution.
Bathrooms are still often fully tiled, and this remains a solid option. However, a carefully considered design can also include combinations of vinyl wallpaper, natural stone, or waterproof decorative plaster finishes. Among these, microcement is one of the best solutions: it allows for seamless, fully waterproof floors and walls, as well as integrated sinks, shower trays, and shelving. Its cost is comparable to mid-to-high-range porcelain tiles, with the added advantage of allowing a completely bespoke colour choice. When properly applied, microcement offers both strong technical performance and distinctive character. It can also be applied directly over existing tiles, reducing both costs and renovation time.
Bathrooms often have small windows, or no windows at all, which makes lighting design essential. Integrated perimeter lighting around the mirror, combined with low-intensity ambient or decorative lighting (for example, inside the shower niche or within recessed ceiling details), creates the right atmosphere. There is no need to rely on ceiling spotlights alone: the goal is to illuminate what is needed, with the appropriate intensity and tone.
As with any other room, don’t focus on assembling a collection of expensive materials or designer furniture. Look instead for harmonious interior design that reflects your personal style. My approach combines the functionality of minimalism with the warmth of Mediterranean living, a local interpretation and synthesis of styles such as Japandi and Wabi-Sabi.
